A civil registrar ceremony is a non-religious legal marriage ceremony performed by a government official or functionary. Once more, do bear in mind that the official Registrar required at your ceremony could have a time limit on their attendance, typically about an hour, and at weekends they could have two or three weddings to officiate at.
